With my recent obsession with the meetup app, I’ve been dipping my proverbial toes into as many new activities as I can. When I came across Run-Sploring, it took no convincing for me to check it out immediately. The chance to make friends, and stay fit was too good of one to pass up.
Run-Sploring Seoul is a meetup group that meets every Sunday morning. We meet up in a new location every week – so it’s always something different. After changing into running gear, everyone’s given an hour to run at their own pace. Some people go in groups, some alone. There are sprinters, runners, joggers, walkers, and everyone inbetween. I like to run at a slower pace with others since I like to talk.
This week we ran up Namsan – a mountain right in the middle of Seoul. It was a bit of a tough one, but the view from the top was phenomenal. The reactions we got from the crowds of tourists under the tower as we sprinted up the last steep stretch of the mountain were pretty great too.
If you’re wanting to get into running, and like meeting new people, then definitely give run-sploring a try; I can tell it’s something I’ll be doing on the regular.
