What says Korea more than drinking coffee and hanging out with adorable animals. If you’re looking for the famed raccoon cafe Seoul, otherwise known as the blind alley cafe, you’ve come to the right place.
At Blind Alley Cafe you get to play with these adorable, opposable-thumbed rascals as you enjoy a delicious drink. There is no cover charge, and the drinks are at very reasonable prices.
How To Get There
To find the Blind Alley Cafe follow these directions:
- Take the Seoul Metro to Sookmyung Women’s University station (극대이군) and head out exit 10.
- At the top of the stairs, turn directly around and head in the opposite direction towards the intersection.
- Make a right turn at the intersection, and follow the sidewalk under the bridge until the next street.
- Cross the street and keep heading straight, up the hill, until you pass a subway; blind alley is just a little bit further on your right.
Playing with the Raccoons
The raccoons are kept in a special back room, as they can be known to get up to no good. They are very well taken care of, and although they were a little shy for me, they were still awake in the middle of the afternoon – which I didn’t expect from a nocturnal animal. The drinks were pretty good, and the cafe had a great vibe – enough that I felt comfortable leaving my stuff out in the main room while I played with the raccoons.
If you’re looking for a refreshing drink and a chance to see cute animals, I would highly recommend checking out the Racoon Cafe in Seoul – the Blind Alley Cafe.
